Develop Bishop Outside the Pawn Chain
This is general Bishop advice for either the middlegame or endgame. The Bishop is often a lot better if it is outside its own pawn chain. This is especially true of a bishop on the same color squares as its own pawns, which is a “bad Bishop” if it’s inside the pawn chain, but can actually be supported by the pawns outside its own pawn chain. Such a Bishop supported by its own pawn might be a “dominating Bishop” or a “Bishop outpost” or other type of “good bishop”.
