Accept Draw Offers
If your opponent offers a draw, should you accept it? Well, thatís a tricky question. If youíre winning, then probably not! If the game is even, itís up to you whether you want to try to win, or to be happy with a draw. And if youíre losing, well, the chances of your opponent offering a draw are much lower! You probably should accept a draw in a losing position.
But sometimes you want to decline a draw, even if youíre losing. Maybe the position is complex and unbalanced, and you think you still have chances of combinations or of an attack. Or maybe you just want to decline the draw in order to keep playing and learn something. But be careful, sometimes youíll learn that you should have accepted the draw!
