Queen Backwards Moves

Can the Queen move backwards in chess? Yes, it would be sad if not! The Queen can always move backwards or forwards (and sideways), horizontally or vertically or diagonally, as many times in any direction. Backwards captures are also allowed. The only restricted piece in chess that cannot move backwards at all is the pawns, which are not allowed to ever move backwards. Even newly minted Queens from pawn promotions are allowed to move backwards.
