Pawn Backwards Moves

Can the Pawns move backwards in chess? No, they never can. Pawns can only move forwards. Pawns cannot move backwards, or capture backwards. But pawns are the only piece that is restricted. All the other pieces can move forwards and backwards as much as you wish. But pawns are never allowed to ever do so. If the pawn gets to the end of the board, where it couldn’t go forwards any more, it turns into a Queen or a different piece via “pawn promotion”. The newly created Queen is allowed to move backwards like a normal Queen, as it is no longer a pawn.
