The Perreux Variation is a lesser-known variation of the Two Knight’s Defence. White does not accept the Black gambit pawn (3.Ng5 d5, 4.exd5 Na5), and also avoids the main over-analyzed “4.d4 O-O, 5.Nxe4 Re1” type lines. Delaying the Ng5 move by one move is the Perreux Variation, which results in an open position with even material and active piece play.

If White tries to defend with “4..d5 exd5, 5.Nxd5”, we may reach the Lolli Attack, which looks strong for White
