Old Indian Defence
The Old Indian Defence is a black defense against a White Queen’s pawn opening. It is quite rarely seen. Other Indians are more popular: King’s Indian, Queen’s Indian, Bogo-Indian, Nimzo-Indian, or the Benoni/Benko. Nevertheless, the Old Indian is quite a playable line, that may become similar to positions from other openings such as the King’s Indian or Benoni (if Black fianchettos) or the Philidor (if White plays e4 and Black plays e5).
