h6 Opening

The Black move h6 is usually part of the Basman Defence, where Black will play 2..g5 on the next move, and then fianchetto the Black king bishop. This is a rarely seen and dubious opening for Black.

If Black plays the opening move 1..h6 without the plan to follow up with 2..g5, then the move is dubious and largely a waste of time. White will get a time and development advantage.
