Anti-Indian Openings are Queen Pawn opening lines for White that avoid the main Indian Defences (starting with 1.d4 Nf6). Transpositions for White to use rather than 1.d4 and 2.c4 include:

  • 2.Nf3 (instead of 2.c4): avoids the Benko Gambit and some other lines.
  • 1.Nf3 and 2.d4
